DeckLok Advanced Lateral Anchors offered by Screw Products, Inc., recently received an evaluation report (ESR-2114) from ICC Evaluation Service (ICC-ES), providing evidence that DeckLok's patented system strengthens deck connections and meets code requirements for resisting lateral force and guard rail post loads. Building officials, architects, contractors, designers and others utilize ICC-ES Evaluation Reports to provide a basis for using or approving DeckLok in construction projects under the International 2006 IBC, International Building Code & 2006 IRC, International Residential Code.
ICC-ES President Mark Johnson explains why ICC-ES Evaluation Reports are so important. “Screw Products, Inc. can now reference the evaluation report to ensure building officials and the building industry that the product meets ICC-Code requirements,” Johnson said. “Building departments have a long history of using evaluation reports, and ICC-ES operates as a technical resource for the building department. Final approval of building products is always in the hands of the local regulatory agency.”
ICC-ES thoroughly examined Screw Products, Inc. product information, test reports, calculations, quality control methods and other factors to ensure the product is code-compliant. Screw Products, Inc. President James Miller stated; “Screw Products, Inc. sells The Ultimate Star Drive Wood Screws and DeckLok - The Advanced Lateral Anchor, which is a great compliment to our line as it’s the ultimate in Deck Safety. As proud members of NADRA, North America Deck and Railing Association, we are committed to safe deck construction. Lok in your families’ safety with DeckLok. You Need DeckLok to meet Code- Standard methods fail to meet code!"
